Imagine having a giant furry cat, a panda, and a bright yellow kitten as your classmates at school!

Well these are just some of the weird and wonderful creatures that can be found at a very special school in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

Choko Oohira runs a school for mascots, people who put on fancy dress costumes to entertain crowds at theme parks, sports matches and other events.

She says the demand for mascots in Japan is growing.

In her classes, the mascots learn to play their character as realistically as possible.

Ms Oohira said she wanted to start the school after being "horrified" by the "poor standards" of some of the mascots she had seen.
