The US space agency, Nasa, says it will send a new robot to join the Curiosity rover on Mars.

Nasa is going to send out the new robot vehicle in 2020.

It will be based on Curiosity which landed on the Red Planet in August and it will even use some of its leftover parts!

It'll give scientists another chance to work out if there could be life out there.

The Agency's Associate Administrator for Science, John Grunsfeld, said: "The new rover is going to be based on the [Curiosity] chassis, and it's really building on the tremendous success of the engineering of Curiosity."

What are they looking for on Mars?
