Felix Baumgartner hopes jump inspires future astronauts

Daredevil Felix Baumgartner explains what inspired him to do that space jump and how he hopes to inspire others too

Felix Baumgartner says he hopes to inspire future astronauts with his world record-breaking space jump.

The daredevil skydiver travelled faster than the speed of sound when he jumped from the edge of space back down to earth earlier this month.

Felix has wanted to go into space ever since he was five years old.

Now he says he's been receiving e-mails from children all over the world who have thanked him for giving them a "moon landing" for their generation.
