Food labels to help people pick healthier options

Watch Joe's report on the new food labelling system

A new labelling system to help people see whether what they're eating is healthy or not will be introduced.

The labels will show how much fat, salt and sugar is in the food, as well as explaining how much we should be eating.

Some companies already do this, but the plan is to make the labelling the same across all food packets, to make it easy for people to understand.

The design is not final yet, but they should be introduced by next summer.
