The boss of UK Athletics, Charles van Commenee, will leave his job in December after the team failed to meet his own medal target at London 2012.

He'd said he would quit unless TeamGB won at least eight medals in athletics, including a minimum of one gold.

But the athletics team ended the Games with six medals on the track - although four of those were gold.

Van Commenee said after the Olympics that he didn't think he could stay in the job after missing his target.
