Obama lifted into the air in big bear hug

Watch Obama's surprise bear hug at a Florida pizza shop

US President Barack Obama was in Florida during his campaign for re-election when a very excited supporter lifted him into the air with a big bear hug.

Mr Obama was lifted up by Scott Van Duzer, a 1.90m-tall (6.2ft) pizza shop owner.

Scott said he hugged the President because he was "overcome with excitement".

"Scott, let me tell you, you are like the biggest pizza shop owner I've ever seen," said the president.

The owner of the Big Apple Pizza in Fort Pierce said Mr Obama had stayed for about 20 minutes, and that it had been a great meeting.

He said the president had ordered 20 pizzas and paid for them all with cash.
