Russian president takes to the sky

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's the President of Russia.

Vladimir Putin found some time in his busy schedule to take to the skies.

The President flew in a microlite aircraft to try and help a group of endangered Siberian cranes fly south for the winter.

The 59-year-old has already got a bit of a reputation for being an action man - he's been photographed swimming in freezing rivers, riding wild horses and boxing.
