Prince Harry gives awards to seriously ill children

Prince Harry jokes wih one of the children

Prince Harry gave out awards to seriously ill children and their doctors at a special ceremony on Monday night.

It was his first public appearance since a high-profile holiday in Las Vegas straight after the Olympics.

The WellChild Awards celebrate young people who are going through different kinds of illness.

An Inspirational Child or Young Person was named, as well as the Most Caring Child or Young Person.

Harry also honoured the doctors and nurses who look after the children.
