US cinema shooting in Denver kills 12 and injures more

US President Barack Obama has spoken of his shock over the deadly shooting at a cinema in Colorado state.

At least 12 people have died after a gunman opened fire in the city of Aurora.

Mr Obama said: "Such violence, such evil is senseless. It's beyond reason."

Police have arrested a local man.

The shooting happened during a midnight screening of the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises.
