- Traditionally you're meant to kiss under mistletoe. It's an ancient tradition which is believed to have come from Greek Mythology.
- 50% of mistletoe in Britain grows on apple trees. Mistletoe is a parasitic plant which means it grows and feeds off other trees and can't be planted in soil.
- Under the Mistletoe is Justin's Christmas album, perfect for getting you into the festive spirit.
- Mistletoe berries are very poisonous and can cause people to be very ill. But did you know only female plants grow the berries whilst the males don't have any?
- The Celts used a golden knife to cut it down because they thought it was a gift from the Gods.
- Viscum album is the scientific name for mistletoe. It's thought there're around 1500 different types of mistletoe around the world.
- The Christmas tune is Mistletoe and Wine. It's famously sung by Cliff Richard and despite being released over 20 years ago it's still a festive favourite today.
- It means dung on a twig! It got this name because mistletoe can be spread by birds eating the berries and then pooing in the branches of other trees!
