Chat: Whose face would you put on banknotes?
We look at them most days, but how much attention do you pay to who is on your money?
The Queen and important historical figures are on the back of banknotes and the latest people to appear are Matthew Boulton and James Watt, two important people who helped to grow Britain's manufacturing industry.
They're on the new £50 note that's just been released and it's the first time two people have appeared together on a bank note.
What you might not know is that the Bank of England, who design banknotes, has a list of people who the public have nominated to be on there.
On the list are people like David Beckham, Robbie Williams, Princess Diana and Beatrix Potter.
Who would you like to see on banknotes? Do you think it should just be historical figures and the Royal Family on them?
Is there someone you think deserves to have their face on our notes?

"We should modernise the notes a bit showing famous British people from 2011. For example Kate Middleton, Adele, Jessie J and so on. That would be really cool."

Taylan, 10, Carmarthenshire, Wales
"I think that maybe they should put someone like Charles Darwin as he made such a big difference to the way we think."
Ishy, 12, Preston, England
"I think it would be really cool to have Justin Bieber on a £50 note. He is very popular and it would be way more interesting if a celebrity was on a note instead of someone from the Royal Family."
Ruth, 12, Tyrone, Northern Ireland
"I don't know who I would put on there, because it would be such an honour to be on a banknote and it is a hard decision to decide who would be worthy. If it was my choice someone like the Simpsons or an idol of mine would be on there but it would be a bit silly."
Sadie, 11, Liverpool, England
"I think Her Majesty Queen Victoria or Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth should be on there because they are/were good queens. Maybe Henry VIII should be there but he was very mean and he did marry 6 times so ..."
Safiya, 10, Gloucester, England
"I think David Beckham should be on banknotes because he is a really good professional footballer."
Claudia, 14, Jakarta, Indonesia
"I think that on banknotes there should be people who have made a big change to England for example the Suffragettes or Pudsey Bear. I know people might think Pudsey Bear is a bit silly but it is the foundation that has helped loads of kids."
Aria, 14, Kent, England
"I think that Mother Teresa should be on the note because she made a big change in the world and we should remember her for that."

"I think that Princess Diana should go on the banknotes, because she actually made a difference. Not many people recognise how important she was. Some people only disliked her because she was in the Royal Family and they were anti monarchy."
David, 12, Dorset, England

"I would put on the banknotes the very first person who created money."
Tammy, 12, Chester, England
"I think that people like Queen Victoria or Henry VIII should be on there because we learn so much about them at school and hear about them all the time but they are never recognised on things like bank notes or coins."
Emily, 12, Lincolnshire, England
"I think that there should be members of the Royal Family or a member of the Government like David Cameron. This is much better than say a celebrity because they are not as important as the people that make the final decisions for the country."
Aimee, 11, London, England
"I think maybe Mother Teresa or Martin Luther King should be on the notes. But maybe Kate Middleton or Prince William should be too."
Sharon, 11, West Midlands, England

Hannah, 10, Essex, England
"I think Kate and William should be on bank notes because they are part of the Royal Family and very famous."

Annie, 14, Edinburgh, Scotland
"Princess Diana or maybe Kate Middleton. Not a celebrity or footballer, these notes are meant to last us for a long time so why have Selena Gomez or someone like that? People could turn on her and start to not like her singles."
Jessie, 13, Whitland, Wales
"I think that someone that has made a difference to our country should be on the bank note. I don't think that bands should be on it but maybe limited edition ones with people like Elvis and Michael Jackson should be made."

Jasmine, 10, Gloucestershire, England
"I think some historical people should be on the notes that have made a true difference to our daily lives. Maybe Lord Shaftesbury or Florence Nightingale. They should also feature people who do not get very much credit for the great things they have done."
Saskia, 10, London, England
"I think Bruno Mars or Jessie J"
Hannah, 10, Norwich, England
