Ricky visits a school learning sign language

  • 26 October 2011

There are 45,000 deaf and hard of hearing children in the UK - and most of them go to mainstream schools.

Now, one charity is trying to get more schools to take part in sign language, so that everyone can communicate with each other.

This month kids around the country have been learning the alphabet in sign language - whether they are able to hear or not.

Ricky went along to one school to see how it was helping children there.

We've put subtitles on the video above so that everyone is able to watch it.
