Horrible Histories writer stars in new exhibition

  • 6 October 2011

The writer of CBBC's Horrible Histories, Terry Deary has teamed up with the Manchester Museum to create an exhibition of objects from ancient Egypt.

But this is no ordinary display - he wants you to pick up the objects, touch them, and use them.

In the exhibition Terry plays the part of an expert called Dr Digby who needs your help to complete tasks.

Those who take part will get an archaeologist's certificate for helping him.

The ancient objects range from stone carvings to toys, and Terry's hoping they'll help kids learn about the lives of ancient Egyptians.

We sent Leah to find out more.

The Unearthed: Ancient Egypt exhibition is at Manchester Museum from 30 Sep 2011 until 6 Sep 2012.
