Dangers for troops who take bombs apart

British troops who risk their lives defusing hidden bombs in Afghanistan are some of the bravest people on Earth.

More than 1,000 hidden bombs are laid by the Taliban every month, often by the roadside, to try to hurt or kill British soldiers operating in Afghanistan.

The job for specialist units of British troops is to find the devices and take them apart so that other troops can travel safely.
