More big storms strike America

  • 5 September 2011

Tropical Storm Lee hit America's Gulf Coast over the weekend, bringing heavy rain and winds of 45 miles per hour through the southern state of Louisiana.

Over on the east coast of America, people are still clearing up after Tropical Storm Irene which tore through the country last week.

And to make things even worse they've been told to get ready for Hurricane Katia, which is now swirling over the Atlantic.

It's hurricane season at the moment and there are usually about 12 major storms at this time of year.

But halfway through this season, they've already had 11.
