DUP reshuffle

The DUP has reshuffled its ministerial team at Stormont, just weeks after the party suffered a body blow in the European election, and in the wake of the controversy over expenses and "double jobbing".

Peter Robinson had pledged to bring to an end the practice of double jobbing where politicians hold more than one mandate at once.

Today's reshuffle has resulted in three Westminster MPs leaving their ministerial posts.

However, Sammy Wilson, who is a Member of Parliament and a Belfast councillor, has been appointed as the new Stormont Finance Minister.

Peter Robinson has defended the appointment, saying Mr Wilson is the most qualified Finance Minister that Northern Ireland has had "in decades".
