Health Minister Michael McGimpsey

First case of swine flu

The Department of Health has confirmed that a man from County Antrim is suffering from Northern Ireland's first case of swine flu.

He lives in the Portglenone area and had recently returned home from Mexico, flying into London.

At this stage it is not clear if that was a direct flight.

We also know that for the final leg of the journey he took an easyjet plane from Gatwick to Belfast.

Our Health Correspondent, Marie-Louise Connolly, who broke the story, reports.
