Fans and some of the biggest names in music have paid tribute to Biggie Smalls, 20 years after he was shot dead in Los Angeles.

His wife Faith Evans and Sean Diddy Combs have led the way, sharing images of the rapper in his prime.

Biggie - real name Christopher Wallace - was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1997, and the case has never been solved.

Diddy posted a video on Twitter, saying the wound "ain't healed yet".

The rapper said: "This year's a sobering year. It's 20 years for us,

"We lived 20 years of our lives without somebody that has been a big part of our lives, that has basically been responsible for the legend of our careers."

The singer Faith Evans, who married Biggie in 1994, told an American radio station that she hadn't been able to find closure because his killer has never been found.
