Demi Lovato's producers deny sampling Sleigh Bells tracks

Demi Lovato's producers have denied sampling tracks by American duo Sleigh Bells without permission.

Sleigh Bells say Stars, a track on the deluxe edition of her fifth album Confident, features elements of two of their previous singles.

But the song's producers, Carl Falk and Rami, say that didn't happen.

"We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song Stars," they said in a joint statement to Rolling Stone magazine.

"Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote the top line."

The band, who released their third album Bitter Rivals in 2013, will be looking further into the claim.

"I can confirm that the band feels their music has been sampled without proper clearance and are seeking all available remedies with [Lovato's record label] Island Records," the group's representative told Rolling Stone.
