Seth Rollins takes WWE title - with a little help from Jon Stewart

Seth Rollins has taken John Cena's WWE US championship title, with a little bit of help from the comedian Jon Stewart.

The former host of The Daily Show was at SummerSlam 2015 in Brooklyn, New York, to host the event.

But during Rollins' bout, Stewart took to the WWE ring to deliver a body blow to Cena's midriff, using a fold-up chair.

Rollins then capitalised on this to finish Cena off and take the win.

He now holds both the US championship title as well as remaining the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Jon Stewart recently stood down from The Daily Show, a satirical news show, which he had presented since 1999.

For a while it looked like Cena wouldn't be able to take part in SummerSlam.

A month ago he broke his nose, while defending his hold on the US championship title from Rollins and had to have emergency surgery.

Rollins wasn't afraid to exploit this weakness, finishing their confrontation at SummerSlam with a hit to the nose.

WWE bosses recently announced that for the first time in history NXT will be touring the UK.

Taking place in seven venues in December, stars including Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Bayley, Tyler Breeze, Dana Brooke and Emma, are set to appear in front of their UK fans.

"I look forward to the opportunity to return to where I started my career, giving fans new memories that they will never forget," said Balor.
