We've translated Dave Grohl's Italian message to fans in Cesena

The Foo Fighters have been convinced to play a gig in the Italian city of Cesena by fans who live there.

Now, in a message recorded in Italian, frontman Dave Grohl says: "We're coming, I swear."

A thousand musicians tempted the band to add the new tour date by gathering in a field to perform Learn to Fly.

No details of the extra gig have been revealed yet but the band's website shows they are due to play two other Italian dates in November this year.

I am sorry I don't speak Italian, just a bit, a bit.

"Hello Cesena. It's David. Hi.

"I am sorry I don't speak Italian, just a bit, a bit.

"This video, was good! Super nice. Thank you so much.

"We're coming, I swear. We'll see each other soon.

"Thank you so much. I love you.

"Ciao."
