Marvel releases hip-hop inspired album covers including Dr Dre and 50 Cent
Comic book publisher and filmmaker Marvel is releasing another series of hip-hop inspired variant album covers.
The first batch of 50 include the firm's take on some classic record artwork from the likes of Dr Dre, A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator and 50 Cent.
Also included are covers from De La Soul, Notorious B.I.G., Ol' Dirty Bastard, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan and Eric B & Rakim.
Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso said in a press release: "For years, Marvel Comics and hip-hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialog.
"Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on the seamless relationship between those two unique forces."
Artwork based on album covers from rap act Run The Jewels featured on two comic books earlier this year.
The full batch of 50 Marvel hip-hop album covers will be released in October.
