When Sheffield United's Che Adams came off the bench in the 74th minute of their League Cup semi-final with Spurs, his side were 2-0 down on aggregate.

But five minutes later the 18-year-old had scored twice to put the League One side 2-1 up and level the tie.

A late Christian Eriksen strike cancelled out Adams' double, but his brief appearance was more than enough to get people talking.

So who is Che Adams?

Born Che Zach Everton Fred Adams, he was watched by 45 scouts at one match when he played for non-league Ilkeston FC.

The 18-year-old interested the likes of Huddersfield Town, Peterborough United and Crewe Alexandra, but signed for the Blades in November.

Before Wednesday's tie with Spurs, Adams only had 136 minutes of professional football under his belt.

His two goals, which were scored within two minutes of each other, were his first for Sheffield United.

Ilkeston FC manager Kevin Wilson, who gave the forward his non-league debut, said: "Che is one of those players that comes along every so often and makes you think, 'Wow.'

"His biggest asset is that knack of changing games in the blink of an eye."
