Jennifer Lopez to return as American Idol judge
Jennifer Lopez will be returning to the judging line-up for the next series of American Idol, Fox has announced.
All three current panellists will be coming back for season 14, after Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr were also confirmed.
The network revealed that host Ryan Seacrest will also be returning to the talent show in 2015.
This year's American Idol had the show's lowest-rated finale ever, part of a continuing drop in audiences.
Fox has said it will air fewer hours next season and in many weeks there will be one episode instead of two.
"Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I'm thrilled that they are returning to American Idol for another season," said David Hill, senior executive vice president at Fox.
"Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream."
Simon Fuller, creature and executive producer, said: "I am thrilled our consummate host, Mr Ryan Seacrest, is returning for season 14, together with Jennifer, Harry and Keith.
"Their interaction, warmth and experience made them an absolute joy to watch. I can't wait to see their evolution together continue next season."
American Idol auditions are open now with dates in Nashville, New Orleans and San Francisco coming soon.
