Dappy denies being booed off stage at Isle of Wight

Dappy has denied rumours he was "booed off" stage at Isle of Wight Festival at the weekend.

"We all know that wouldn't happen to me," he wrote on Twitter.

According to reports, the rapper was booed by the audience before arriving 15 minutes late on stage for his set and singing only three songs, blaming technical difficulties.

He has said the reason the crowd was complaining was because "they wanted more" from him.

Tweet from Dappy reading: "Rumours being said that I got booed off stage! We all know that s**t wouldn't happen to me!! They were p****d off cause they wanted more." (Swear words blurred out in part)

According to The Mirror: "It didn't start off all that well when Dappy walked out 15 minutes later after hearing his fans reportedly booing him, but they did give a quick round of applause when he finally showed his face."

The website claims Dappy went on to publically embarrass an audience member who was holding a sign up criticising him.

Tweeting after his performance, Dappy said: "Killed Isle of White yesterday despite the horrific technicals."

Earlier this year, the former N-Dubz singer, whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos, was accused of assaulting a man outside of an Essex nightclub.

The 27-year-old denies the charges. He is due to go on trial later this month.
