Kim Kardashian and Kanye West 'to marry in France' now
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are to marry at a chateau near Paris before holding their reception in Italy, according to Italian newspaper La Nazione.
It had been suggested on Friday that they would tie the knot in Florence.
But new reports claim that around 1,000 guests have been invited to a ceremony in France on Saturday.
From there, the couple and guests will head to Forte Belvedere, a 16th-century fortress, for the wedding party.
The 36-year-old rapper proposed to the reality star on her 33rd birthday in October 2013, renting out San Francisco baseball ground AT&T Park for the occasion.
This is the first marriage for Kanye West, who was previously engaged to designer Alexis Phifer.
It will be the third trip down the aisle for 33-year-old Kardashian.
According to a spokeswoman at the mayor's office, the couple have rented the Italian venue for the wedding party for 300,000 euros (£244,000).
But some locals are unhappy about the couple's takeover of the Florence monument.
Achille Totaro, an opposition candidate in upcoming local elections, said renting the venue was "a sell-off of Florence's monuments", while anti-establishment Five Star Movement called for "greater respect for the city's treasures".
In an interview with Florence's La Nazione newspaper on Friday, 36-year-old West said he and Kardashian had been to Florence last year and believed that their daughter, North, born in June 2013, was conceived "among the Renaissance masterpieces".
"It was our first honeymoon," he added. "It's one of the most beautiful cities of the world, for me the most beautiful in Europe."
