Selena Gomez home trespasser jailed in Los Angeles
A man in LA has admitted to trespassing at Selena Gomez's home and has been sentenced to 45 days in prison.
Che Cruz has also been ordered to stay away from the 21-year-old singer and actress.
Los Angeles district attorney's spokesman Ricardo Santiago said Cruz admitted trespassing at an initial court appearance Wednesday and was immediately sentenced.
The 20-year-old had been arrested on Sunday 30 March in Gomez's guesthouse.
The spokesman said Cruz was also sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to stay away from the star and her home in Calabasas, California.
Authorities say Gomez arrived home Sunday night and called security after hearing noises on the property.
Sgt Fray Lupian said Cruz knocked on the door and a friend of Gomez answered but slammed it closed when he asked for the musician.
Security found the suspect in the guesthouse and held him for deputies.
Gomez rose to fame as the star of the TV series Wizards of Waverly Place and has since gone on to feature in a number of films including Spring Breakers, alongside James Franco.
Her most recent album, Stars Dance, reached number one in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Gomez has previously dated Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
