Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle becomes a mother
Former Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has announced she's given birth to her first child.
"I am overjoyed to let you know our little girl is here," the musician tweeted at 9pm on Monday.
Nadine had announced last year she was expecting her first child with the former American football player Jason Bell.
"She is amazing! I love being a mammy & will fill you all in soon," added the 28-year-old.
'It is official'
Her friend and former bandmate Cheryl Cole was quick to congratulate her.
She tweeted: "It is OFFICIAL!! There is a baby Aloud!!!!!!"
Girls Aloud announced they were splitting up last year following the last night of their 10th anniversary celebration tour.
The girl group had four UK number one singles, two UK number one albums and received nominations for five Brit Awards, winning best single in 2009 for The Promise.
There is no word yet on what Nadine plans to name her daughter.
