Foals and Beck have been announced as the Saturday and Thursday night headliners at this year's Bestival.

Nine other acts have also been revealed for the Isle of Wight festival including London Grammar, BBC Sound of 2014 winner Sam Smith and Disclosure.

The event takes place from 4-7 September at Robin Hill Country Park.

This year there will be four headliners with Outkast already topping the bill on the Friday night of the festival.

Major Lazer, Wild Beasts, Caribou, Clean Bandit, Chvrches and Laura Mvula have also been added to the line-up.

The theme this year is Desert Island Disco.

Foals have also been announced as one of the headliners of this year's Parklife Weekender in Manchester this June.

They first played at Bestival in 2007.

Speaking about their headline set, Foals said: "We couldn't be more excited and honoured to be part of Bestival this year.

"It's the perfect end to our touring for Holy Fire. We promise a night of madness, mayhem and good times."

Meanwhile, US singer-songwriter Beck is about to release his 12th studio album, Morning Phase, his first recording in six years.

Organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank said: "HMS Bestival has set sail once more and we have finally landed back on the Isle of Wight for our 11th instalment - a Desert Island Disco.

"Foals were voted best live act of last year and I'm delighted they'll be headlining the Saturday night - there's no better indie guitar band in the UK right now.

"Also donning a grass skirt and mirrorball is a total icon of popular music and one of my favourite songwriters, Beck, plus disco darlings Disclosure, Diplo and his Major Lazer crew and all the hottest new bands from London Grammar to Clean Bandit."

2013's Bestival was headlined by Elton John, Snoop Dogg and Fatboy Slim.

Tickets for this year's event are available from the Bestival website.
