Tamera 'was ready' for X Factor despite forgetting lyrics
X Factor finalist Tamera Foster says she hopes forgetting her lyrics on the show won't affect her singing career.
The 16-year-old was the latest singer to be evicted from the show but was criticised by judges for forgetting the words to her songs three weeks in a row.
But the teenage singer says she hopes her forgetfulness won't harm her career in the future.
Foster lost out to boys' contestant, Devon singer Luke Friend.
"Even huge stars that are really up there have forgotten their lyrics on stage," she said.
"So, I hope it doesn't [tarnish my career] and I think it's definitely something you can get over."
Foster also revealed that she had a number of gigs lined up including one in Swindon and at London's G-A-Y.
"I'm going to be gigging all around the country up until Christmas," she revealed.
"Then we've got the tour next year, which I am so excited about. I'm not sure what I'm going to do after that. Hopefully hit the studio to work on developing myself."
On the show, judges regularly told Foster that she would be a huge star after the final but says she hasn't heard from Simon Cowell yet.
"That's crazy that they said that," she said. "That's like a huge thing.
"After the show, everyone that leaves, if they are going to get signed by Simon's label, they won't have any contact with him until the show is actually finished and everybody is out and then they make the final decision.
"So I won't be hearing from him, if he does want to contact me, I won't hear from him until the show is finished."
