ITV apologises for lost signal during X Factor live show
ITV has apologised after some viewers lost signal during Sunday night's live X Factor show.
A tweet from the channel's official account said ITV and ITV2 were affected because of technical problems.
It said: "Sorry to everyone who had their viewing disrupted by tonight's technical issues, and we are working to fix the ongoing problems."
The account tweeted updates from the results' show, which saw Tamera Foster lose to Luke Friend in the public vote.
Friend, who is in Louis Walsh's boys' category, was saved by his mentor and Sharon Osbourne, while Nicole Scherzinger picked her act Tamera before Gary Barlow took the result to deadlock.
Friend, 17, is joined by Nicholas McDonald, Rough Copy and Sam Bailey in the final four.
Last year's winner James Arthur also appeared on Sunday's result show.
Following his performance the singer apologised for "abusing my position as an X Factor winner".
He recently apologised on Twitter after being accused of singing homophobic lyrics.
Details of this year's final, which will take place on 15 December, were also released over the weekend.
American band The Killers will be joined by Brits Critics' Choice Award-winner Tom Odell on the Saturday show.
During the final, judge Gary Barlow is in a line-up which also includes Sir Elton John, Katy Perry and One Direction.
Producers say there will be "loads more surprises" on the night as the 10th series of the talent show comes to a close.
Last week, it was announced that this year's X Factor winner's single would be released in aid of two charities.
