Dappy recovering after being kicked in face by a horse

Dappy has had hospital treatment after falling off a horse and being kicked in the face by the animal.

The N-Dubz rapper, 26, was riding at his home when the horse threw him off its back.

Terry Mills, a spokesman for the rapper, confirmed the incident had happened.

The Playing With Fire rapper, whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos, is now recovering from the accident at his house in Hertfordshire.

In February, he was given a six-month suspended sentence over assault and affray charges.

He was convicted over a brawl at a petrol station in Guildford the previous year.

The rapper had faced a maximum sentence of three years in prison.

Paul Greaney, defending Dappy, claimed that a prison term would have ended his career.

In April, Dappy lost an appeal against the convictions.

N-Dubz have had eight songs in the Official Singles Chart, with their most successful single to date I Need U which peaked at number five in 2009.

Dappy had a number one single in 2011 with No Regrets.
