Strictly's Natalie Gumede stops training with back pain
Actress Natalie Gumede has missed training for Strictly Come Dancing after hurting her back.
The former Coronation Street star has had to take a break from her schedule as doctors try to find out what has happened.
Her professional partner, Artem Chigvintsev, said: "We had to finish rehearsal early on Tuesday because of the pain in Natalie's back.
"If it is serious she might not be able to continue."
The 29-year-old has had an MRI scan to see if she has slipped a disc in her back and is waiting for the results.
She has taken painkillers and is resting at home.
A show source said: "She had a slight fall in training on Tuesday which may have contributed to aggravating an old back injury.
"She fears the worst and would hate not to be able to perform on Saturday. It may be touch and go. We'll have to wait and see."
Last weekend she finished top of the leader board with a score of 36 after performing a rumba to Rihanna's Love the Way You Lie.
The soap star has been one of the favourites to win the dancing competition.
If she is able to perform on Saturday, she will be dancing a quickstep to Yeah by Usher.
The Voice winner Andrea Begley has also announced that she will be performing on Sunday night's results show.
Vanessa Feltz was voted off last weekend with golf star Tony Jacklin the first to leave.
