Vanessa Feltz will compete in Strictly Come Dancing
Radio and television host Vanessa Feltz has confirmed she will be part of this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
The 51-year-old joined Zoe Ball, who hosts the spin-off show It Takes Two, on Radio 2 to make the announcement.
"I'm inordinately excited," she said. "I intend to wear sequins until I get turfed out which will probably be rather soon I fear."
Vanessa Feltz hosts a morning radio show on BBC London 94.9 and an early morning programme on Radio 2.
Speaking to Zoe Ball about her potential dance partner, she said: "I'd like someone patient. Someone virile, oozing testosterone, but patient.
"I don't want anyone who shouts at me or gets cross. That would be just terrible."
Vanessa Feltz has previously been a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother as well as the reality weight loss programme Celebrity Fit Club.
The 51-year-old also took part in Celebrity Wife Swap with former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee.
Lisa Riley, who was a contestant on last year's programme, is also set to host a new backstage feature exclusively for BBC iPlayer and the Red Button.
She will present a 20-minute segment with behind the scenes access, interviews with all the 2013 celebrity line-up on the red carpet and introductions to the new professional dancers.
The full celebrity line-up will be confirmed on Monday 2 September in a special edition of The One Show on BBC One.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday 7 September at 6.50pm.
