Denise van Outen and Lee Mead confirm they are to split
Television host Denise van Outen and theatre actor Lee Mead are splitting up after four years of marriage.
A statement for the pair says: "Following continued speculation Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead are sad to confirm they have decided to separate.
"The couple remain the best of friends, with their daughter Betsy as their number one priority. The family ask for privacy at this time."
Van Outen and Mead first met on the BBC programme Any Dream Will Do.
She was a judge on the TV talent show, searching for an actor to play the lead role in the musical Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The 32-year-old won the competition and went on to play Joseph until 2009.
They married in 2009 and have one daughter together, three-year-old Betsy.
Recently Denise van Outen, 39, has been a guest judge for the ITV programme Your Face Sounds Familiar.
She competed in the last series of Strictly Come Dancing and provides the voiceover for the reality show The Only Way is Essex.
