Homeland actor turns down Strictly Come Dancing offer
The actor who played Estes in Homeland has apparently turned down an offer to appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
David Harewood tweeted to say: "I was asked to do a rather well known Saturday evening dancing show yesterday. I said no."
"Strictly speaking its not for me. #spandex."
It's not yet known what other celebrities have been approached to appear on this year's show.
Co-host of Strictly Come Dancing, Tess Daly, has hinted that producers are working hard to sign up some big names for the line-up of the 11th series.
Both Tess Daly and Sir Bruce Forsyth have been confirmed to return to present the show, which is due to begin in September.
David Harewood is probably best known for playing the role of David Estes in the American TV drama, Homeland.
Instead of appearing on the TV talent contest, the British actor has confirmed he'll be "doing Shakespeare in New York".
