Lee Evans has announced a 51-night tour of the UK and Ireland for 2014.

His tour Monsters will see the comedian play in some of the biggest arenas in the country.

His last arena tour in 2011, Roadrunner, played to sell-out crowds.

The release of Roadrunner was the first 3D stand-up comedy DVD. Forty-nine-year-old Evans has also appeared in films including The Martins, There's Something About Mary, The Fifth Element, Mouse Hunt and Funny Bones.

The comedian starred in the BBC One sitcom Lee Evans - So What Now? and played an evil scientist in the 2009 Doctor Who Easter special.

Tickets for the Monsters tour go on sale on 20 May.
