Lovefilm has struck a deal with Warner Bros. to make a series of shows available to stream online in the UK.

Subscribers to Instant will get access to key shows.

As well as recent hits such as the One Tree Hill, the full back catalogue of shows, including Nip/Tuck, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and the West Wing, will also be made available.

Lovefilm is owned by Amazon and has more than two million subscribers across Europe.

As more online services look to compete with traditional TV networks, Amazon is also developing its own original programming, mainly centred on children's and comedy shows.
