Prince Harry heads Top Gear wish list, says Hammond
Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond says Prince Harry is his top choice to take part in the show's fastest lap test.
One of the most popular features of the BBC motoring show sees celebrities race against the clock to complete one full lap of a race track.
"I'd love to get a royal on it and I reckon Harry would be up for it," he said. "Or how about the head of the household?' Let's have The Queen on.
"She did a skydive at the Olympics, so why not have her in a pokey car?"
Hammond, 43, presents Top Gear alongside James May and Jeremy Clarkson.
'Our little show'
The show is now in its 19th series.
Angelina Jolie is another name high on his celebrity wish list.
Hammond said: "When we first started it really was, 'Does anyone want to come on our little show?'
"Now all of a sudden Hollywood seems to be knocking on the door to get on the track."
Series 20 of Top Gear is scheduled to be shown later this year.
Tom Cruise, Simon Cowell and Usain Bolt have all taken part in the challenge.
Top Gear is one of the BBC's most successful programme exports. The show is watched by a global audience of 350 million people.
Richard Hammond says being on one of the most watched shows in the world hadn't impressed his two young daughters but a recent collaboration with Disney changed all that.
The 43-year-old is due to appear in Phineas and Ferb.
Hammond will be interviewed by the cartoon duo and play bass guitar as a guest on their spin-off chat show.
"My two daughters were like, 'That's so cool'," he said.
"They love the show and came with me to meet the guys and the rest of the characters."
