Seventh and final series of Skins to air in July on E4
The seventh and final series of Skins will air on E4 in July, Channel 4 have confirmed.
The programme, which will see the return of Hannah Murray (Cassie), Jack O'Connell (Cook) and Kaya Scodelario (Effy), has been split in three.
Skins Pure, featuring Cassie, Skins Rise, featuring Cook and Skins Fire, featuring Effy, will each be shown in two, one-hour parts.
Lily Loveless (Naomi) and Kat Prescott (Emily) will also make appearances.
Series creators Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain say the new series "goes into new territory, is more adult and more uncompromising".
Each two-part story centres on the characters, who are now in their early 20s and struggling to find direction and focus.
Bryan Elsley said: "I am delighted that three emblematic actors, currently embarking on successful movie careers are returning to E4 and Skins."
Cassie's story follows her in London as she tries to make sense of life while Cook has a job delivering drugs to Manchester's clubs and bars.
Effy has a dead end job as a receptionist for a leading London finance firm and starts an affair with her boss after finding some information about a troubled deal.
The new series was shot in Manchester and London from October last year to January 2013.
Skins was first broadcast in 2007 and followed the lives of different generations of teenagers in Bristol over six series.
