The Saturdays say they have nothing to lose in the US

The Saturdays say they are relaxed about trying to break America as they "have nothing to lose".

The girl band have returned from a three-month trip to the States.

Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White have all been filming a reality TV show to help get themselves known.

The five-piece also say they do not plan to take a long break while Rochelle has her baby this year.

It was announced in November that the 23-year-old was expecting her first child with husband Marvin Humes from JLS.

The band are insisting they will only take "a couple of weeks" off when she gives birth.

"The baby's choosing to come at quite a good time because single wise we'll be in between stuff," she said.

The women say they are more nervous about their reality show coming out in the UK than in the States because there are some embarrassing moments.

"All my friends and family are like, 'Oh we're all going to get together and watch it on Sunday,' and I'm like, 'I'm not watching it with you,'" said Frankie Sandford.

They have mostly been filming in LA but also in New York and in London.

The Saturdays have also been talking about working with Sean Paul on their new single, due out later this year, and say he was much more friendly than they expected.

"He was so cute," said Una Healey.

They say their trip away was inspiring but that they were homesick and insist they have not changed.

Una Healey added: "We're definitely home birds, massively."

The premiere of their television series Chasing The Saturdays will be shown on E! in the UK on Sunday 3 February at 10pm.
