Release date for Jurassic Park 4 confirmed by Universal
A release date has finally been revealed for Jurassic Park 4.
Universal Pictures announced on Twitter that a fourth instalment of the dinosaur movie series is due to come out on 13 June 2014.
As yet, no director or cast have been announced but Steven Spielberg will return to produce the film.
The Jurassic Park trilogy remains one of the most successful movie franchises of all time.
The third instalment, directed by Joe Johnston, was released in 2001.
Last year, co-producer Kathleen Kennedy told website comingsoon.net: "We're trying to come up with a story that makes sense and isn't going to disappoint people and is, hopefully, going to get people excited and reinvigorate the franchise."
News comes after it revealed that Steven Spielberg's new film Robopocalypse has been indefinitely postponed.
The sci-fi movie was set to begin filming this spring and be released in April 2014.
Robopocalypse is based on a book about a war between humans and robots and is due to star Anne Hathaway and Chris Hemsworth.
Disney has not given any reason for the delay and no new release date has been announced.
There are reports that the director wasn't happy with the script and budget estimates.
Spielberg's latest film Lincoln has been nominated for 10 Bafta awards and 12 Oscars.
