EastEnders actor Rob Kazinsky to join True Blood cast

Former EastEnders actor Rob Kazinsky is set to join the cast of US vampire series True Blood.

The 28-year-old, who played Sean Slater in the BBC soap, will play a faerie named Ben who takes a liking to Anna Paquin's character, Sookie.

He'll also try to help solve the mystery of her parents' death.

Rob Kazinsky was in EastEnders from 2006 and 2009 and is also appearing in Guillermo del Toro's upcoming sci-fi film, Pacific Rim.

The actor confirmed the news in a series of posts on Twitter.

"The True Blood news has garnered me an extra 100 followers and that's really all that matters in life," joked one of his tweets.

The sixth series of HBO's True Blood, which is based on books by Charlaine Harris, is lined up to begin in June 2013.

Blade Runner actor Rutger Hauer is also set to join the show, according to industry website The Hollywood Reporter.
