Drew Barrymore gives birth to a daughter named Olive
Drew Barrymore has given birth to a daughter, her first child with husband Will Kopelman and has named her Olive.
The actress released a statement saying: "We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family.
"Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."
Barrymore and Kopelman were married in a Jewish ceremony in June.
This is Barrymore's third marriage after she was previously wed to British barman Jeremy Thomas and Canadian actor Tom Green.
The 37-year-old met Kopelman, an art consultant, in 2011.
Drew Barrymore became famous as a child when she starred in the Stephen Spielberg film E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.
She was known as a troubled young star and went into rehab aged 13 for problems relating to drugs and alcohol.
As an adult she has acted in films including Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed and Whip It.
