Police break up backstage 'scuffle' at BET hip hop Awards
A scuffle broke out backstage during the BET hip hop Awards in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday night.
Police officers responded to an altercation between two groups at about 7.30pm but no arrests were made.
Carlos Campos, a police spokesman said there were no injuries or shots fired.
The identities of those involved have not been released by the police. The argument started about the same time that a performance in honour of Chris Lighty was going on.
The hip hop executive, who represented stars including 50 Cent and Missy Elliott, died last month, aged 44.
BET officials said that the awards show was not interrupted.
Kanye West had the most nominations with 17 but didn't attend the event.
He was up for awards including hustler of the year, producer of the year and lyricist of the year.
