Adele on track to stay number one in the singles chart
Adele is on course to stay at the top of both the album and singles charts.
Once again her latest single and album have topped the UK official midweek charts.
Adele broke records earlier this week, by being the first living artist to have two singles and two albums in the top five.
Someone Like You is the first track to benefit from immediate digital download availability after being performed at last week's Brit awards.
According to the Official Charts Company, the single is outselling its biggest rival, Jessie J's Price Tag, by 70%.
The Brit awards downloads have sold 140,000 sales.
Brit performers account for seven of the top 10 biggest albums of this week so far.
Also making an impact on the survey is Gwyneth Paltrow's performance with the Glee cast.
Singing In The Rain/Umbrella and Forget You is the actress's first top 40 hit.
Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot says: "The impact of Gwyneth Paltrow and the continuing Brits effect demonstrates how powerful TV can be in influencing music tastes and interests in the digital world.
"The Brits downloads started selling immediately they were performed on TV, and the instant impact of this week's Glee performances underlines the same power."
