Reading and Leeds prepares 'staggering' headliners
The boss of the Reading and Leeds festivals has described the line-up for this year's event as "staggeringly good".
Melvin Benn, the festival's director, confirmed that three acts had already been booked for the August bank holiday event.
He confirmed that they would not be headlining any other festivals this summer.
The headline acts are "extraordinary", he added.
Benn said that tickets for the event would go on general sale in either early or late March to avoid the sale of tickets for the 2012 London Olympics.
He added there would be an increase in the cost of tickets for the event, "but not a very big increase".
Last year's Reading and Leeds festivals were headlined by Arcade Fire, Blink 182 and Guns N' Roses.
The Libertines also reformed to play two shows.
