Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man to play 2011 NME Tour

Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles are to headline the 2011 NME Awards Tour.

They'll be joined on the road by dupstep 'supergroup' Magnetic Man, Manchester experimentalists Everything Everything and London newcomers The Vaccines.

Calling in 12 cities, the gigs begin in Glasgow on 3 February.

Previous NME tours have helped launch the career of Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Florence and the Machine.

Speaking about the announcement Skream (Magnetic Man) said: "I think it's gonna work.

"It's kind of a sign of the times. You go to a club night now and you no longer have one-genre crowds, it's better for everyone and makes it more exciting."

The coverted 'opening slot' will be filled by London garage-rock foursome The Vaccines.

Yet to release a single, they've already performed on Later…With Jools Holland.
