We've waited nearly three months for someone to explain exactly what went on in that lift between Solange Knowles and Jay Z.

Now Beyonce has spoken out about the row between her sister and her husband and things are a lot clearer. Sort of.

The singer, who has teamed up with Nicki Minaj to remix her track Flawless, has rapped about the fight.

"Of course sometimes s**t goes down when there's a billion dollars on an elevator," she says.

Jay Z hasn't talked about the argument, which happened after New York's Met Gala in May, but Solange has previously talked about "that thing".

Speaking to Lucky Magazine last month, she said: "What's important is that my family and I are all good."

In a statement released in May, Solange, her sister Beyonce and Jay Z said they'd "moved forward as a united family" after the incident which was leaked by celebrity site TMZ.

The three-minute video published online appeared to show Solange trying to kick and hit her brother-in-law Jay Z in front of Beyonce.

A security guard is then seen restraining her and appears to attempt to stop the lift.

Flawless originally appeared on Beyonce's self-titled 2013 album.

Beyonce and Jay Z are on their On The Run Tour and are set to play in Europe in September.
