Glastonbury headliners Kasabian have announced a 15-date UK tour for later in the year.

The Leicester band will perform five gigs at London's Brixton Academy as well as concerts in Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Belfast.

They'll start in Glasgow on 19 November before ending in Manchester.

As well as headlining Glastonbury Festival, Kasabian played a homecoming gig to 50,000 fans in Leicester the week before.

The Maccabees are the band's main support act for all the dates and the band will also play at Dublin's O2 on 8 December.

Their final date at London's Brixton Academy on 6 December is being called a "5 night stand all-nighter".

During their Worthy Park set they covered Fatboy Slim's Praise You and Gnarls Barkley's Crazy and were joined on stage by comedian Noel Fielding.

"It's perfect, the new tunes are built for these kind of events," said guitarist Sergio Pizzorno.

"They're working so well. The rest of the set now sounds so much better, everything's just improved."

The band's fifth studio album 48:13 was released earlier this month with their new single Bumblebee out on 4 August.

The band is made up of Tom Meighan (Vocals), Sergio Pizzorno (Guitar, Vocals), Chris Edwards (Bass) and Ian Matthews (Drums).

Next week Kasabian play two dates in Russia, before playing Spain's Benicassim on 18 July and dates in Australia, Japan, North America and Europe in August, September, October and November.
